HCP Wellness Private Limited is hiring a responsible and experienced Packaging Supervisor for tube, bottle and carton packing operations at its cosmetic manufacturing facility in Bavla, Ahmedabad.
The selected candidate will supervise daily packaging activities, manage packing workers, monitor packaging quality and ensure that finished cosmetic and personal care products are packed according to approved specifications.
Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in tube packing, bottle packing, carton packing, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily tube, bottle and carton packing operations.
Allocate work to packing operators, helpers and packaging line workers.
Ensure tubes, bottles and cartons are packed according to approved specifications.
Monitor filling, sealing, capping, labelling, coding and carton packing activities.
Verify product names, labels, batch numbers, manufacturing dates and expiry dates.
Inspect tubes, bottles, caps, pumps, labels, cartons and other packaging materials before use.
Maintain proper line clearance before starting a new product or production batch.
Prevent product, label, bottle, tube and carton mix-ups.
Monitor packaging line speed, output, quality and daily target completion.
Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Stores, Maintenance and Dispatch teams.
Maintain batch records, packaging documents and material reconciliation reports.
Identify and report packaging defects, leakage, sealing issues, coding errors and damaged cartons.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, safety and GMP compliance in the packaging area.
Train packing workers on SOPs, quality standards and safe working procedures.
Control packaging material wastage and improve line productivity.
Required Skills
Knowledge of tube, bottle and carton packing operations.
Experience in supervising packaging workers and production lines.
Understanding of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging processes.
Knowledge of tube sealing, bottle capping, labelling, coding and carton packing.
Basic understanding of GMP, SOPs, hygiene and workplace safety.
Ability to verify labels, batch coding and packaging specifications.
Good manpower handling and task-allocation skills.
Strong attention to detail and packaging quality.
Basic documentation and record-maintenance skills.
Ability to meet daily packaging and production targets.
Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer and Microsoft Excel knowledge is preferred.
Educational Qualification
Diploma, ITI or graduation in any relevant discipline.
Experience Required
1–2 years of experience in tube, bottle, carton, packing or packaging operations.
