Senior Microbiologist - Quality Control

Key Responsibilities
✔Perform microbial testing on raw materials, in-process bulk, and finished products.
✔Conduct pathogen screening (E. coli, S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, C. albicans) per BIS/ISO standards.
✔Execute Preservative Efficacy Testing (PET) / Challenge Testing on formulations.
✔Manage cleanroom environmental monitoring and purified water bioburden testing.
✔Validate and calibrate lab equipment (autoclaves, incubators, LAF hoods).
✔Prepare media, manage culture subculturing, and perform Growth Promotion Testing (GPT).
✔Investigate Out of Specification (OOS) results and implement CAPA.
✔Maintain complete GLP/GMP documentation, SOPs, and audit logs.

Required Skills & Capabilities
✔3+ years of core microbiology experience in cosmetic or personal care manufacturing.
✔Strong knowledge of ISO 22716 (Cosmetics GMP), BIS standards, and GLP.
✔Hands-on expertise in PET testing, MLT, and aseptic laboratory techniques.
✔Experience in OOS investigations, root cause analysis, and audit readiness.
✔Proficient in operating standard microbiology lab equipment.

Educational Qualification
✔Required: M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences.
