Senior Microbiologist Job Vacancies In Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities
✔Perform routine and complex microbiological testing on raw materials, bulk products, and finished cosmetics.
✔Conduct pathogen screening (E. coli, S. aureus, P. aeruginosa, C. albicans) per BIS, IS, and ISO guidelines.
✔Lead Preservative Efficacy Testing (PET) / Challenge Testing on cosmetic and personal care formulations.
✔Oversee cleanroom environmental monitoring and bioburden testing for purified water systems.
✔Validate and calibrate microbiology lab equipment (autoclaves, incubators, biosafety cabinets, LAF hoods).
✔Prepare culture media, subculture reference strains, and execute Growth Promotion Testing (GPT).
✔Investigate Out of Specification (OOS) / Out of Trend (OOT) test results and implement effective CAPA.
✔Maintain strict GLP/GMP documentation, SOPs, test certificates, and audit-ready records.

Required Skills
✔3+ years of core QC microbiology experience in cosmetic or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
✔Deep knowledge of ISO 22716 (Cosmetics GMP), BIS standards, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
✔Hands-on proficiency in PET testing, Microbial Limit Testing (MLT), and aseptic techniques.
✔Experience in environmental monitoring, water system bioburden analysis, and media preparation.
✔Strong background in OOS/OOT root-cause investigations, CAPA, and regulatory audit compliance.

Educational Qualification
✔Required: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, or Biotechnology.
