Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Senior Chemist to join our R&D/New Product Development team. This role requires expertise in formulation chemistry, project leadership, and regulatory compliance for cosmetic and personal care products. As a key contributor, you will innovate, develop, and optimize formulations while ensuring alignment with market trends, customer specifications, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
✔Develop and optimize innovative formulations for skin care, cosmetic, and oral care products.
✔Lead product development from concept to commercialization, including lab trials, stability studies, and scale-up.
✔Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including QA/QC, Regulatory, Production, and Marketing.
✔Conduct ingredient research, maintain raw material specifications, and source new actives.
✔Ensure all formulations meet global cosmetic regulatory standards (e.g., BIS, FDA, EU, etc.).
✔Troubleshoot formulation and process challenges during development and manufacturing.
✔Prepare and maintain technical documentation, formulation sheets, and SOPs.
✔Keep up with industry trends, ingredient innovations, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:
Hard Skills:
✔Strong formulation knowledge in emulsions, gels, serums, pastes, suspensions, and toothpaste.
✔Experience with stability testing, sensory evaluation, and scale-up processes.
✔Proficiency with lab instruments (e.g., viscometer, pH meter, homogenizer).
✔Knowledge of cosmetic regulations and documentation requirements.

Education & Certifications:
✔Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
✔Certification in Cosmetic Formulation or GMP compliance (preferred but not mandatory).

Preferred Experience:
✔Minimum 5+ years of experience in formulation development within the cosmetic, skin care, or oral care industry.
✔Experience in private label or contract manufacturing setups is a plus.
✔Proven track record of successful product launches and end-to-end formulation ownership.
