Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to oversee workplace safety, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and promote a culture of safety within our manufacturing facility in Bavla. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of industrial safety standards, risk assessment, and emergency preparedness.

Key Responsibilities:

✔Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with legal regulations.
✔Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections across manufacturing units.
✔Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and ISO safety standards.
✔Investigate workplace accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
✔Train employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
✔Maintain records of safety incidents, audits, and training sessions.
✔Collaborate with management to develop fire safety plans, PPE requirements, and chemical handling protocols.
✔Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of hazardous chemicals used in cosmetics manufacturing.
✔Coordinate with external agencies for compliance audits and emergency drills.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

✔Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or Environmental Science.
✔Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in a cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or FMCG manufacturing environment.
✔In-depth knowledge of safety laws, industrial hygiene, and hazardous material management.
✔Familiarity with MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), fire safety regulations, and workplace ergonomics.
✔Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety training programs.
✔Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
✔Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA is an added advantage.
