HCP Wellness Private Limited is hiring a skilled and detail-oriented R&D Executive for our Bavla location. The candidate will be responsible for supporting new product development, cosmetic formulation, sample development, product testing, documentation, and formulation improvement for skincare, hair care, oral care, and toothpaste products.
This role is suitable for candidates with experience in cosmetic R&D, personal care formulation, product development, lab trials, stability testing, and manufacturing support.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and support new formulations for skincare, hair care, oral care, toothpaste, and personal care products.
Conduct lab trials, sample preparation, product testing, and formulation optimization as per customer requirements.
Work on new product development for private label, third party, contract manufacturing, and custom cosmetic formulations.
Maintain proper R&D records, formulation sheets, trial reports, batch records, and technical documentation.
Coordinate with production, quality, purchase, packaging, and sales teams for product development activities.
Evaluate raw materials, active ingredients, fragrances, colors, preservatives, and packaging compatibility.
Support stability testing, compatibility testing, sensory evaluation, and product performance checks.
Improve existing formulations based on quality, cost, texture, fragrance, performance, and customer feedback.
Assist in scaling up lab formulations to pilot batches and commercial production batches.
Ensure formulations follow company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.
Research market trends, competitor products, ingredient innovations, and customer requirements.
Support troubleshooting during production trials and product development stages.
Required Skills
Good knowledge of cosmetic formulation, personal care R&D, and product development.
Experience in skincare, hair care, oral care, toothpaste, or cosmetic manufacturing is preferred.
Understanding of raw materials, active ingredients, surfactants, emulsifiers, preservatives, and fragrances.
Knowledge of lab trials, sample development, stability testing, and product evaluation.
Ability to maintain accurate formulation records and R&D documentation.
Basic understanding of GMP, quality standards, and cosmetic manufacturing processes.
Good coordination skills with production, quality, purchase, and packaging teams.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work on multiple product development projects within deadlines.
Good communication skills and willingness to learn new formulation technologies.
Educational Qualification
B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Tech Chemical, Diploma in Cosmetic Science, or related science background.
