Job Summary
HCP Wellness is looking for a Quality Control Executive – Packaging Material QC to join our QC team at Bavla, Ahmedabad. You will inspect, test, and approve all primary and secondary packaging materials used in our cosmetic manufacturing operations.

This is a great opportunity for science graduates and pharmacy freshers to build a career in cosmetic QC/QA with hands-on exposure to real manufacturing processes, GMP systems, and industry-standard testing protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming packaging materials — bottles, jars, tubes, caps, laminates, cartons, and labels — as per AQL plan.
Conduct physical tests: GSM, burst strength, drop test, torque, seal integrity, and dimensional checks.
Verify print accuracy, colour, barcodes, and label content against approved artwork.
Maintain IQC records, test reports, CoA, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
Issue Accept / Reject / Hold decisions based on test results and approved specs.
Coordinate with procurement and production for timely material disposition.
Ensure quarantine and correct labelling of rejected packaging materials.
Monitor FIFO compliance and storage conditions in the packaging store.
Support new product development (NPD) packaging trials and supplier evaluations.
Maintain calibration records for all QC lab instruments.
Assist during GMP, customer, and regulatory audits with updated documentation.
Prepare daily and weekly QC rejection trends and vendor quality reports.

Required Skills
Knowledge of packaging material types: bottles, jars, tubes, laminates, cartons, labels.
Basic understanding of packaging tests — physical, mechanical, and visual inspection.
Familiarity with BIS, IS, ASTM standards and GMP guidelines for cosmetics.
Ability to read BOQs, TDS, and approved artwork specifications.
Hands-on experience with QC instruments: caliper, GSM balance, torque meter, seal tester.
Accurate documentation: NCRs, CoAs, test reports, and audit checklists.
Sharp eye for print errors, surface defects, and dimensional deviations.
Good communication skills in English and Hindi; Gujarati preferred.
Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word for data entry and reporting.
Team player with attention to detail and ability to work in a factory environment.

Educational Qualification
B.Sc. – Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Microbiology / Life Sciences (Mandatory)
M.Sc. – Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Quality Management (Preferred)
B.Pharm / D.Pharm – Eligible with interest in cosmetic packaging QC
Diploma in Packaging Technology / Quality Assurance (Added Advantage)
GMP, ISO 9001, or Cosmetic Regulatory Affairs certification is a plus
2023, 2024 & 2025 batch freshers are encouraged to apply
