HCP Wellness is hiring a QC Executive (Packaging & Raw Material Testing) for our Bavla, Ahmedabad plant. This role is built for entry-level professionals (Freshers to 2 years experience) looking to build a career in FMCG, Pharma, or Cosmetic Quality Control. You will sample, test, and approve incoming chemical ingredients and packaging components before they enter production.
Key Responsibilities
Sampling & Inspection: Sample incoming raw materials (chemicals/actives) and packaging materials (tubes/bottles/cartons).
Chemical Analysis: Test raw materials for pH, viscosity, density, solubility, and melting points.
Physical Testing: Perform leakage, drop, weight variation, and dimensional tests using Vernier calipers.
Artwork Verification: Cross-check incoming packaging designs against approved master artworks and standard samples.
GMP Documentation: Record test results, prepare analytical reports, and maintain error-free QC logs.
Defect Control: Identify chemical or structural defects and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
Inventory Isolation: Tag and isolate rejected or under-test materials to prevent production errors.
Cross-Team Coordination: Work with procurement, warehouse, and production for smooth material release.
Lab Calibration: Assist in daily calibration and maintenance of laboratory testing equipment.
Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GLP/GMP norms.
Required Skills
Core QC Knowledge: Strong understanding of raw chemical and packaging inspection standards.
Equipment Handling: Experience using pH meters, viscometers, Vernier calipers, and scales.
Specification Reading: Ability to interpret Certificate of Analysis (COA) and technical specs.
Attention to Detail: Sharp eye for chemical impurities, color shifts, or minor printing errors.
Data Reporting: Clean track record of documentation and maintaining lab registers.
Software Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Excel and Word for daily report tracking.
Compliance Awareness: Basic understanding of GMP, GLP, or ISO manufacturing standards.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication to report issues across teams.
Adaptability: Proactive mindset with a keen interest in learning and growing in a lab environment.
Educational Qualification:
B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Biotechnology, or Sciences)
B.Pharm / M.Pharm
Diploma / Degree in Packaging Technology or Chemical Engineering
Experience:
0 to 2 Years (Freshers welcome)
