HCP Wellness Private Limited is hiring a responsible and experienced Packing Department Supervisor for its cosmetic manufacturing facility in Bavla, Ahmedabad.
The selected candidate will supervise daily packing department activities, manage packing workers, monitor product quality and ensure that finished cosmetic and personal care products are packed according to approved specifications.
Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, FMCG or manufacturing packing operations are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily activities in the packing department.
Allocate work to packing operators, helpers and line workers.
Ensure products are packed according to approved packing instructions.
Monitor the packing of skincare, hair care, oral care and personal care products.
Verify product labels, batch numbers, manufacturing dates and expiry dates.
Check bottles, tubes, jars, pouches, cartons and other packing materials before use.
Maintain proper line clearance before starting a new product or batch.
Prevent product, label and packing material mix-ups.
Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Stores and Dispatch teams.
Monitor daily packing output and ensure targets are completed on time.
Maintain packing records, batch documents and material reconciliation reports.
Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, safety and GMP compliance in the packing area.
Report packing defects, material shortages, machine problems and process deviations.
Train packing workers on SOPs, quality standards and safe work practices.
Control packing material wastage and improve department productivity.
Required Skills
Knowledge of cosmetic, personal care, FMCG or pharmaceutical packing operations.
Experience in supervising packing workers and department activities.
Understanding of primary and secondary packing processes.
Basic knowledge of GMP, SOPs, hygiene and workplace safety.
Ability to verify labels, batch coding and packing specifications.
Good manpower handling and task-allocation skills.
Strong attention to detail and product quality.
Basic documentation and record-maintenance skills.
Ability to achieve daily packing and production targets.
Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and computer operations is preferred.
Educational Qualification
Diploma, ITI or graduation in any relevant field.
Experience Required
1–2 years of experience in packing, packaging or production operations.
