HCP Wellness Private Limited is hiring a responsible and experienced Packaging Operations Supervisor for its cosmetic manufacturing plant in Bavla, Ahmedabad.
The selected candidate will supervise daily packaging operations, manage packaging workers, monitor line performance and ensure that finished cosmetic and personal care products are packed according to approved specifications, batch requirements and production schedules.
Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in cosmetic, personal care, pharmaceutical, FMCG or manufacturing packaging operations are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily packaging operations across assigned production lines.
Allocate work to packaging operators, helpers and line workers.
Ensure products are packed according to approved packaging instructions and quality standards.
Monitor filling, sealing, labelling, coding and secondary packaging activities.
Verify product labels, batch numbers, manufacturing dates and expiry dates.
Inspect bottles, tubes, jars, pouches, pumps, caps, cartons and other packaging materials before use.
Maintain proper line clearance before starting a new product or batch.
Prevent product, label and packaging material mix-ups.
Monitor packaging line output, productivity, quality and target completion.
Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Stores, Maintenance and Dispatch teams.
Maintain packaging records, batch documents and material reconciliation reports.
Identify and report packaging defects, machine issues, material shortages and process deviations.
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, safety and GMP compliance in the packaging area.
Train packaging workers on SOPs, quality requirements and safe working practices.
Control packaging material wastage and improve operational efficiency.
Required Skills
Knowledge of cosmetic, personal care, FMCG or pharmaceutical packaging operations.
Experience in supervising packaging workers and production lines.
Understanding of primary and secondary packaging processes.
Basic knowledge of GMP, SOPs, hygiene and workplace safety.
Ability to verify labels, batch coding and packaging specifications.
Good manpower handling and work-allocation skills.
Strong attention to detail and packaging quality.
Basic documentation and record-maintenance skills.
Ability to meet daily packaging and production targets.
Good communication, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
Basic computer and Microsoft Excel knowledge is preferred.
Educational Qualification
Diploma, ITI or graduation in a relevant discipline.
Experience Required
1–2 years of experience in packaging, packing or production operations.
