Job Description

HCP Wellness is hiring a Packaging Material QC Analyst for our manufacturing plant in Bavla, Ahmedabad. This entry-level role is tailored for Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience who want to excel in FMCG and Cosmetic Quality Control. You will analyze, inspect, and approve incoming packaging materials to ensure they meet strict functional and aesthetic brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
PM Sampling:
Sample incoming packaging components like tubes, bottles, jars, caps, cartons, and labels.
Physical Testing: Conduct dimensional verification, drop tests, weight variation, and grammage analysis.
Functional Testing: Perform leak-proof tests on caps, pumps, and bottles to ensure zero defect delivery.
Artwork Verification: Cross-check text, color matching, and batch details against approved master artworks.
Aesthetic Inspection: Scan for physical defects such as scratches, dents, color variation, or print smudges.
GMP Documentation: Record all analysis results, maintain lab registers, and issue clear release logs.
Defect Control: Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) immediately upon detecting material deviations.
Stock Isolation: Properly tag and isolate rejected materials to block them from the production floor.
Team Coordination: Update procurement, warehouse, and production teams on material status daily.
Lab Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the QC laboratory and assist in minor tool calibrations.

Required Skills
Core Inspection Skills: Good grasp of quality metrics for primary and secondary cosmetic packaging.
Tool Handling: Comfortable using measuring tools like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and scales.
Detail Oriented: Sharp observation skills to catch microscopic print errors or structural alignment flaws.
Spec Matching: Ability to interpret technical packaging drawings and client artwork requirements.
Data Entry: Consistent, error-free documentation skills for daily analytical reports.
PC Proficiency: Basic computer skills, including hands-on experience with MS Excel and Word.
Standard Awareness: Basic understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or factory SOPs.
Communication: Clear verbal skills to discuss quality rejections and approvals with internal teams.
Quick Learner: Highly adaptable mindset with a genuine keenness to pick up laboratory workflows.

Educational Qualification:
B.Sc / M.Sc (Sciences, Chemistry, or Packaging related)
B.Pharm / M.Pharm
Diploma / Degree in Packaging Technology or Materials Management

Experience:
0 to 2 Years (Freshers are highly encouraged)
