Job Summary
HCP Wellness is hiring a Junior QC Executive for incoming Packaging Material (PM) Testing at our Bavla, Ahmedabad plant. This role is ideal for entry-level professionals (Freshers to 2 years experience) looking to build a career in FMCG, Pharma, or Cosmetic Quality Control. You will ensure that all packaging components meet rigorous physical, functional, and aesthetic quality benchmarks before entering production.

Key Responsibilities
Perform sampling and testing of incoming packaging materials (tubes, bottles, jars, cartons, caps, corrugated boxes, and labels).
Conduct physical and functional testing (dimensional check, leakage test, drop test, grammage, and weight variation).
Run text and color matching verifications against approved artwork, specifications, and standard samples.
Perform specialty packaging tests like print legibility, ink smudge tests, and chemical compatibility checks.
Document test data, prepare analytical reports, and maintain error-free QC logs following GMP guidelines.
Identify visual or structural packaging defects (critical, major, minor) and raise non-conformance reports (NCR).
Isolate and label rejected/defective materials to prevent their accidental use on the production line.
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams for timely material releases or rejections.
Assist senior quality team members during internal audits, client evaluations, and lab instrument calibrations.
Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized laboratory environment.

Required Skills
Strong understanding of QA/QC concepts specific to primary and secondary packaging materials.
Hands-on handling of basic measuring tools (Vernier calipers, micrometers, and weighing scales).
Ability to read and accurately interpret technical specifications and approved packaging artwork designs.
High attention to detail to spot minor printing errors, dimensional shifts, or physical material defects.
Sound knowledge of basic laboratory documentation, report writing, and data entry.
Familiarity with MS Office (especially Excel and Word) for daily record-keeping.
Basic understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or ISO standards within a factory setup.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to clear doubts across internal departments.
Proactive, disciplined mindset with a strong willingness to learn and adapt under pressure.

Educational Qualification:
B.Sc / M.Sc (Chemistry, Biotechnology, or general Sciences)
B.Pharm / M.Pharm
Diploma / Degree in Packaging Technology or Materials Management
