We are seeking a passionate and skilled Formulations Chemist/Scientist to join our growing team in Bavla, Ahmedabad.

Job Summary:

The Formulations Chemist/Scientist will be responsible for the development and optimization of new and existing formulations for our skincare, cosmetic, and oral care product lines. This role requires a strong understanding of cosmetic chemistry, formulation principles, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with excellent laboratory skills and a passion for developing innovative products.

Responsibilities:

✔Develop and optimize formulations for skincare, cosmetics, and oral care products, ensuring stability, efficacy, and safety.
✔Conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate raw materials, prototype formulations, and finished products.
✔Perform stability testing, compatibility testing, and other analytical tests to ensure product quality.
✔Document all experimental procedures, results, and observations in detailed laboratory notebooks and reports.
✔Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cosmetic chemistry and formulation technology.
✔Collaborate with the R&D, production, and quality control teams to ensure smooth product development and manufacturing processes.
✔Assist in the preparation of technical documents for regulatory submissions.
✔Troubleshoot formulation issues and provide technical support to production.
✔Maintain accurate records of raw materials, formulations, and testing data.
✔Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

✔Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
✔Experience 2-5 years in formulation development within the skincare, cosmetics, or oral care industry.
✔Strong understanding of cosmetic raw materials, surfactants, emulsifiers, polymers, and other formulation ingredients.
✔Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including weighing, mixing, heating, pH measurement, viscosity measurement, and stability testing.
✔Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., ISO 22716, FDA, etc.).
✔Experience with stability testing protocols and interpretation of results.
✔Ability to develop and validate analytical methods for product testing.
✔Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
✔Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
✔Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✔Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
✔Proficiency in using laboratory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
✔Experience in developing oral care products is a plus.
✔Experience with natural and organic formulations is a plus.
